Ways To Give

Everything we do is driven by one goal: to boldly lead people to know and follow Christ. Your giving is a vital part of that purpose. We want to say a sincere thank you for investing in this vision. Your generosity empowers us to share the Gospel fearlessly and help others grow deeper in their walk with Him.

  • Simple Online & Mobile Giving

For the quickest and most convenient way to give, we use Tithe.ly. This platform allows you to give a one-time gift or set up recurring tithing via your credit card, debit card, or bank account (ACH). Whether you are sitting in the sanctuary or traveling away from home, you can continue to support our mission with just a few clicks or through the Tithe.ly app.

  • Cryptocurrency Donations

We believe in using every modern tool available to further the gospel. Through our partnership with Engiven, we safely accept donations of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and over 95 other cryptocurrencies. Donating appreciated crypto is a tax-efficient way to give, often allowing you to avoid capital gains taxes while providing even more resources to share the Gospel.

  • Stocks & Legacy Giving

If you would like to donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, you can do so directly through our Edward Jones investment account. This "asset-based" giving is a powerful way to steward your investments for eternal impact. By gifting securities, you can potentially receive a significant tax deduction while helping our church make a difference.

FAQs About Giving At Calvary

Giving is an important act of worship. At Calvary Baptist Church, we are committed to the highest standards of financial integrity. From independent annual audits to secure processing, here is what you need to know about how your generosity is managed.

  • How does the church ensure my donations are handled properly?

We take our role as stewards of God’s resources with the utmost seriousness. To ensure total transparency and accuracy, we undergo an annual audit by an independent, outside accounting firm. This process verifies our financial records and ensures that every dollar is accounted for and used as intended to boldly lead people to know and follow Christ.

  • What internal "checks and balances" are in place?

Dual-Control Counting: Multiple unrelated individuals are required to count and document all physical offerings.

Segmented Duties: Different people handle the counting of offerings, recording of gifts, and budget writing to ensure no single person has total control over funds.

Budget Oversight: Our financial leadership team and deacons review detailed reports monthly to ensure all spending aligns with the mission and the approved budget.

  • Is my giving tax-deductible?

Yes. Calvary Baptist Church is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All contributions—whether through the offering, Tithe.ly, Engiven, or Edward Jones—are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

For tax purposes, you will receive an annual contribution statement at the beginning of each year for giving from the prior year

  • Can I designate my gift to a specific project?

While our "General Fund" is what fuels our daily mission to lead people to Christ, we also have designated funds for missions, building fund, and other areas of ministry You can select these options within our online giving page or by noting it on your offering envelope.

  • Why do you accept Cryptocurrency and Stocks?

We are committed to being wise stewards by providing modern, tax-efficient ways for our congregation to give. Often, donating appreciated assets like Bitcoin or stocks allows a donor to give a larger gift by avoiding capital gains taxes, meaning more of your hard-earned resources go directly to the work of the Gospel.

  • What fees are associated with online giving?

Tithe.ly is our primary platform for recurring and one-time gifts. You have the option to check a box that says "Cover the Fees," which adds the processing cost to your gift so that 100% of your intended amount goes directly to ministry.
