At Calvary Baptist Church, our "Calvary Kids" ministry provides a safe and loving environment where children can learn about the love of Jesus. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing atmosphere where kids can grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
Our team of passionate and caring volunteers are thoroughly background-checked to ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our care. Through engaging and biblical lessons, fun activities, and meaningful relationships, we aim to help each child accept Jesus as their Savior and prepare them for a future of living their lives for Him.

AWANA
Awana Clubs meet every Wednesday night during the school year at 6:45 PM, offering a fun, engaging, and Bible-centered program for children and youth. Our clubs provide age-appropriate discipleship that helps boys and girls know, love, and serve Jesus through Scripture memory, interactive Bible teaching, worship, games, and positive relationships with caring leaders. Kids build a strong biblical foundation while having a great time in a welcoming environment designed to foster spiritual growth and belonging.
Nursery
Our nursery provides a secure and caring environment from birth to 4 year olds while you engage in your adult Life Group or Worship Service. Our dedicated team of background-checked volunteers is committed to nurturing your child's early spiritual growth and ensuring their comfort and safety. Join us and experience a place where your little one can be cherished and cared for while you focus on your spiritual journey.
Calvary Buddies
Calvary Buddies is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for children with special needs. Our ministry is designed to provide individualized care and attention, ensuring every child feels valued and included in our church community. With a team of trained and compassionate volunteers, we offer tailored activities and resources that meet each child’s unique needs, fostering their spiritual growth and personal development.
Kid Life Classes
Join us for Kid Life classes every Sunday morning at 9:30 am, where kids can learn about Jesus and the Bible in a safe and interactive environment. Our dedicated teachers use engaging lessons, activities, and crafts to help kids grow in their understanding of God's love and plan for their lives.
Calvary Kids’ Church
Kids can worship and learn in a kid-friendly setting during our Calvary Kids’ Church services. With age-appropriate music, lessons, and activities, children have the opportunity to encounter Jesus in a way that's relevant and meaningful to them.
Special Events
Throughout the year, we host special events and activities just for kids! From Vacation Bible School to holiday parties to service projects, there's always something fun happening for kids at Calvary.
Kid’s Choir
The Calvary Kids Choirs range in age from 5 years old through the 6th grade. Children at Calvary can be a member of a children's choir that sings during the school year once per month on Sunday nights. There are two choirs for children.
We have a traditional choir that sings as well as a bell choir.
Pastor’s Summer Pals
Pastor's Summer Pals is our summer children's ministry: a way for our pastor to invest in the children of Calvary Baptist Church. Kids five years old through 6th grade can earn points and prizes for church attendance, activity sheets, and daily devotions. We also spend a few minutes every Wednesday night watching a historical video about Christians of the past.

We take our responsibility to protect your children and teenagers seriously, ensuring that every volunteer and leader is thoroughly equipped and vetted before they ever step into a classroom or attend a youth event.
Thorough Vetting & Background Checks
Every adult who works with our youth ministry must undergo a comprehensive background check. We also implement a mandatory waiting period for new members before they are eligible to serve in children’s or teen ministries. This allows us to get to know our volunteers personally and ensure they align with our church’s values and safety standards.
Specialized Training & Abuse Prevention
Our team is specifically trained in sexual abuse prevention and awareness through Ministry Safe. We educate our staff and volunteers on how to recognize warning signs, maintain appropriate boundaries, and follow strict "two-adult" rules to ensure no child is ever left alone with a single adult. By staying proactive and informed, we create a secure culture where teenagers can focus on growing their faith without distraction.
Secure Check-In & Accountability
To ensure a smooth and safe experience every Sunday, Wednesday ,and during special events, we utilize a streamlined child check-in system through Kid-Check. This allows us to maintain accurate records of who is on-campus and ensures that students are only released to authorized parents or guardians. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we are committed to maintaining a ministry that is as safe as it is life-changing.

For our secure Kid-Check system, parents can register their child ahead of time to streamline check-in, store important details like allergies and emergency contacts, and receive a numbered security tag for safety during services and events.
For families with children who have special needs, our Calvary Buddies ministry offers one-on-one support from trained volunteers so every child can fully participate in worship, lessons, and activities in an inclusive environment.
